NEW OPERATOR
Recommended Attendance:
This course is designed to train an inexperienced person on the basics of lift truck safety, maintenance, and procedures. The opportunity for hands-on operation and a subsequent evaluation of skills acquired, prepares the new operator for the specific duties they will encounter at the workplace.
Duration:
The course runs for one full day with classroom instruction and skill acquisition.
Location:
For your convenience, we hold this training at your workplace in order to create a familiar environment for the inexperienced operator where learning and gaining experience is easier to achieve. We train your worker using the equipment they will be using at your facility.
TRAIN THE TRAINER
Recommended Attendance:
This course is designed for those with proven expertise in the operation of lift trucks and does involve a demonstration of ability to operate in a safe manner. This course enables selected employees to combine their current knowledge and expertise with our proven instructional techniques. They will learn how to instruct and create safe, proficient operators in their respective workplaces. An emphasis is also placed on total program maintenance, which enables them to keep accurate records of skill achievement and due dates for re-certification.
Duration:
The course runs for two days with classroom instruction dealing with legislative requirements, instructional techniques, safe practices creation and assessing skills progression.
Location:
Levac Supply Ltd. Facility or Customer Facility.
RE-CERTIFICATION FOR LIFT TRUCK OPERATORS
Recommend Attendance:
This course is designed for experienced operators. The Ministry of Labour requires a re-certification every two years. Changes to legislation, a review of the Guidelines for the Safe Operation and Maintenance of Powered Lift Trucks and a review of CSA Standard B335-94 will be covered.
Duration:
This is a one half day course with a written theory test and hands on training.
Location:
Training will take place at your facility, utilizing your equipment.
